Speed-friending

Speed dating is a method of introducing unattached people to potential partners by arranging for them to meet a series of people on a single occasion. This is an adaptation, getting rid of the romantic part of it, and making it fun for students to chat with the rest of the class.

Using celebrities they know, the activity is de-personalised, triggering creativity, improvisation and what's most important, avoiding problems related to gender or sexual orientation.

This speaking task has been designed to foster communication in class and stregthening bonds.
